Belfast Launch / Journalism & Poetry: in conversation Sam McBride

Exposure, Poetry

Belfast LAUNCH 6pm 15th October in conversation with Sam McBride of the Belfast Telegraph Truth Be Told: Journalism & Poetry – Belfast Exposed

Belfast Exposed, Northern Ireland’s premier photography gallery, was the ideal venue for the event. The insights of Sam McBride, NI editor of the Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Independent, into the world of daily news reporting and editing grounded the discussion in everyday issues. We were far from exhausting the subject of how journalism and poetry are linked and differ. A very warm atmosphere in the room and a great turnout.

Sam and I had appeared on BBC Radio Ulster’s ‘Talkback’ programme just after the 1pm news a few days earlier. Again, just the right setting and William Crawley’s questions were probing and energising.
